Our client, a leading entity in the defence and security industry, is currently seeking a Senior Planning, Monitoring & Control Professional - Controls to join their submarine solutions team on a 12-month contract. This position is based in Barrow, with hybrid working arrangements allowing for two days every two weeks on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and overseeing project controls within the defence sector
Implementing effective planning, monitoring, and control processes
Ensuring all project control procedures align with industry standards and client requirements
Conducting regular project reviews and reporting on progress, performance, and potential risks
Collaborating closely with project teams to ensure accurate and timely updates
Supporting project delivery through robust control methodologies and techniques
Covering for maternity leave within the project controls unit
Maintaining a strong focus on security and confidentiality due to the sensitivity of the projects

Job Requirements:

Experience in project controls within the defence or security sector
Significant expertise in planning, monitoring, and controlling complex projects
Strong understanding of project control tools and software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
