Children & Families - Social Worker

Bristol City Council are looking to expand their current team. The Children & Families team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Children & Family Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

The position involves undertaking assessments under S17 & S47 and then working with children in need, with children on a CP plan and with families in pre-proceedings or in the court system.
The service is offered by small units made up of a Team Manager, 3 Social Workers, a Family Support Worker and an Assistant.
The teams sit together, and we do not hot-desk.
There is good management support and many opportunities for joint working.
The city is vibrant and diverse, and the work is varied.
There are good Early Intervention Services and support from voluntary agencies in the city.
We use a strengths based approach and systemic principals in our work with families.
The recording system is Liquid Logic (LCS)

Requirements / Experience preferred:

HCPC Registration
1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK.
