JOB - Design Engineer
LOCATION - High Wycombe
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in High Wycombe that is looking to hire a Design Engineer.

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).

Experience in mechanical or product design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and sheet metal design.

Ability to produce technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.

The Design Engineer role will involve:

Creating 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.

Developing innovative design solutions to meet project requirements.

Collaborating with production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible.

Conducting design reviews and making necessary modifications.

Producing documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.

Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.

Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes.
