IT TECHNICIAN
Purpose of Job
The post holder will work closely with the central IT team to deliver support to construction engineering staff and provide solutions to technical problems and requirements. The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring the best delivery of IT resources to support daily operations and provide support and guidance to end users.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Assist staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to set up systems or resolve issues.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
Replace parts as required.
Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
Support the roll-out of new applications.
Set up new users accounts and profiles and handle password issues.
Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
Prioritize and manage multiple open cases simultaneously.
Raise purchase orders for new equipment and hardware.
Investigate improvements and better ways of working for the business.
Perform any other reasonable tasks within the post holders capabilities.
Environmental Responsibilities
Consider the environment in decision-making, including material procurement, energy efficiency, pollution, and ecology on site.
Be aware of the environmental consequences of actions be familiar with relevant project documentation, standards, and contractual requirements regarding environmental performance seek advice from the Environmental Department.
Specific Safety Responsibilities
Take reasonable care for the safety of oneself and others who may be affected by ones actions or inactions at work.
Co-operate with employers or any other persons in the performance of their statutory duties.
Do not misuse or interfere with anything provided in the interests of health, safety, or welfare.

Person Specification
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an IT support role.
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN technologies, VLANs, DHCP, routing, and firewalls.
Good understanding of the MS technology stack: Office 365, Windows 10+, Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory.
Proactive and able to use own initiative.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Dependable, with a positive attitude and flexible to the needs of the business with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
Qualifications
Ideally educated to degree level or qualified to HND or equivalent.
A full driving license.
