NXTGEN are exclusively partnering with a highly successful, family-run business to recruit a Finance Controller for this newly created position. The business is a genuine leader within its field and continues to grow at pace, offering a fantastic opportunity to join at a key stage in its journey. With a supportive and collaborative culture at its core, this is a role where you'll be given full autonomy over the finance function and play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the business.

As Finance Controller, you'll join the Senior Leadership Team and act as a true business partner across departments, providing commercial insight and financial guidance to influence key decisions. This is a broad and varied role that offers significant exposure across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

Full ownership of the finance function, including the management and development of a small finance team
Production of monthly management accounts with clear and insightful commentary
Partnering with senior stakeholders to support business performance and decision-making
Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
Driving improvements in financial controls, systems and processes
Leading the year-end process and managing relationships with external advisors and auditors
Delivering commercial analysis to support operational and strategic initiativesTo be successful in this role, you'll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a strong commercial mindset and the confidence to challenge and support senior stakeholders.
