Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally. They are looking for a HVAC Engineer to help design and deliver heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for projects.

This HVAC Engineer position comes with a salary of up to £45,000 with a company who are committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will:

Create designs that meet project requirements.
Produce necessary design documents throughout the project.
Check design calculations for accuracy.
Participate in design and safety reviews.
Write technical specifications and operational documents.
Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of all design materials.
Follow safety and legal regulations.
Develop cost-effective solutions.
Conduct site surveys and write assessment reports.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
Nuclear Experience is desirable
A full UK driving licence

Personal skills

The HVAC Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Experience in design within regulated industries.
Proven success in delivering design solutions.
Knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
Experience working in project environments.
Good organizational and people skills.
Understanding of HVAC systems.
Familiarity with REVIT, AutoCAD, and IESVE design software.
