Furnace Operator

Leeds, LS10

£11.44 per hour (rising to £12.10 after training), weekly pay

Full Time, Monday to Friday

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client based in LS10 to recruit for a Furnace Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative world leader in their industry and the role will become permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

·Supporting the Furnace Supervisor in the running and checking of the furnaces

·Starting up and shutting down the furnace

·Monitoring and adjusting the furnace control panel as and when required

·Dealing with any production faults

·Cleaning out vacuums and filters

·Ensuring production targets are reached and recording average stats and totals produced

·General fault finding and troubleshoot whilst the furnace is running

·Communicating and liaising with engineers and managers

You will need:

·Previous experience in a similar role (desired not essential)

·Basic understanding of electrical systems

·Basic computer literacy including MS Excel

·A hard working and reliable work ethic

·Flexibility to weekends (and nights when required)

·Good health and safety ethic

·Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Working Hours:

·Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm

·Weekend work and 12-hour shifts and night shifts during busy periods

·Overtime paid on all hours over 39 per week
