Job Title: Bandsaw Operator
Location: Edinburgh
Shift: Afternoon Shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: £13 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Bandsaw Operator to join our clients team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining bandsaw equipment to cut and prepare materials according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently on an afternoon shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate the bandsaw to cut various materials accurately and efficiently
* Inspect materials and finished pieces to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
* Maintain the bandsaw and perform routine checks to ensure safe and optimal operation
* Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working area
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production targets are met
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Bandsaw Operator or in a similar role
* Strong understanding of safety practices and quality standards in a manufacturing or production environment
* Ability to work independently and efficiently during assigned shift hours
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
