Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £80 - £85 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (potential to extend)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Doncaster. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide assistance to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential. This role includes working with children across all key stages, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

* Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.

* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet individual learning goals.

* Help manage classroom behavior in line with school policies, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.

* Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues affecting learning.

* Prepare resources and teaching materials as directed by the class teacher.

* Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunchtimes and excursions.

Essential Requirements:

* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

* Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with autism or ADHD.

* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

* A passion for education and helping students succeed.

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience working in a primary school setting.

* First aid training and safeguarding certification.
