Sports Coach - Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary)

£444 - £500 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a Day-to-Day Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor to work at a thriving secondary school in Harborne. This school is known for its commitment to academic and sporting excellence, offering students a well-rounded education in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging PE lessons and general classroom cover as required.

Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Manage classroom behaviour and ensure lesson continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.

Inspire students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a passion for sport.

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

Experience in sports coaching or working with young people in an educational setting.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A positive, proactive approach with a passion for working with secondary-aged students.

Relevant qualifications (coaching badges, a degree in Sport Science, or similar is advantageous).

Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
