The Role:
In this role, you will support secondary-aged students with a range of SEMH needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
Individualised Support: Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to manage and support positive behaviour, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.
Emotional and Social Development: Build trusting relationships with students, providing guidance to help them develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.
Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Inclusion: Promote an inclusive school culture where all students feel valued, supported, and capable of achieving their best.
Requirements:
• Experience as an SEMH Secondary Teacher or in a similar role within secondary education.
• A strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students effectively.
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping students overcome challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt and work collaboratively as part of a team.
