Senior Planner
Bristol
£70,000 + Package
We now require a Senior Planner experienced in fit out, commissioning and handovers. This is an opportunity to work on multiple flagship high profile retail schemes across the country with some flagship clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a detailed Project Master Programme covering all phases of the project from tender planning stage as set out in the planning procedures.
Update the Project Master Programme on a regular basis from project initiation through to project completion.
Review and comment on all potential schedule impacts resulting from Trade Contractor performance or delays, Client modifications, Consultant design changes/proposals, logistics issues, etc.
Perform planning/schedule studies and assignments as requested by Senior Project Manager or Planning Director.
Determine project manpower requirements on an on-going basis.
Define, monitor, and report on interfaces between the various Trade Packages.
Provide all planning information required for the Project Monthly Report, any other internal/external reports and any special assignments or tasks as required by the Planning Director or Senior Project Manager.
Ensure that the planning function is performed in line with planning procedures, instructions, and reporting formats.
Discharge responsibilities for Health and Safety as set out both in respect of the package and integration of the overall project.
Carry out any other reasonable duty as requested by the Senior Project Manager or Planning Director.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must have advanced skills with Asta Power Project
A technical qualification within architecture, engineering or building together with a relevant professional qualification is essential.
Planning experience within fast-track multi-phased construction is essential. Knowledge and understanding of architectural and services trades and their relationship and integration into the building whole.
Experience in Retail fit out and commissioning works is preferred
It is essential that the post holder is fully familiar with modern planning techniques and proficient in the use of Planning Software
An understanding of Construction Management philosophy and procurement process is essential.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate self-management, initiative, and an ability to think analytically.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and organisation skills are essential.
It is essential that the post holder be a Team Player who can add value to the management process and encourage, co-ordinate and articulate the contributions of all members.
Experience of Document Management Software is desirable.
Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels are essential.
The ability to deliver to tight deadlines is required.
