Our client based in Shepton Mallet are seeking Forklifting Warehouse Order picking operative to join the team on their day shift on a temporary basis top support them in the run up to Christmas time, however for the right candidate this has the possibility to become a permanent role. Availability over the Christmas period is an essential criteria.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Fork lifting duties

* Loading and unloading lorries

* Putting incoming goods away

* Order picking of various stock items using an electronic handheld device

* Loading and packing stock onto pallets for distribution

* Using manual pump trucks

* Updating stock items after

* Other Warehouse duties including good housekeeping

Requirements:

* A valid counterbalance or reach forklift licence is advantageous however an expired one will be considered if the candidate has recent experience as a working forklift driver

* A successful candidate will have good customer service and a polite friendly demeanour as you will be part of a busy team

* Physical fitness and manual handling awareness is essential for this role as you will be picking cased items from warehouse locations

* Literate and numerate showing due diligence

* Safety shoes are required for this position

Hours:

Monday to Friday

6am to 3pm – Day 1 will include a full induction, to include Health and Safety and role outline

A degree of flexibility with hours is required especially through their busy Christmas period

Rate:

£12.13 per hour
