A primary school in Oldham is excited to welcome a passionate and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to their team. This role is ideal for a newly qualified teacher (NQT) ready to make an impact in the classroom and begin their teaching journey in a supportive and nurturing environment. As an Early Career Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students’ foundational skills and fostering a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their educational journey.
In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced staff and receive structured support, mentoring, and development opportunities as you progress through your ECT induction. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum, helping students develop literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring all pupils feel supported and challenged.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging curiosity and building confidence in young learners.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback that supports their development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a consistent approach to each child’s education.
Engage in professional development opportunities and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and CPD events.Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
A genuine passion for teaching young children and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
A proactive, positive, and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn and grow.
