Our client is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Mortgage Advisor to join their dynamic team in North Birmingham. As a Mortgage Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding our clients through the process of securing the right mortgage for their individual needs and circumstances. You will build strong relationships with clients, understand their financial goals, and provide expert advice on a range of mortgage products.

Duties for the Mortgage Advisor will include but not be limited to the following:

Client Consultation: Conduct thorough interviews with prospective clients to understand their financial situations, property requirements, and long-term goals.

Needs Analysis: Analyse client information to determine their mortgage needs and affordability.

Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the various mortgage products available from a range of lenders, including first-time buyer mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let mortgages, and protection products.

Recommendation & Advice: Provide clear, accurate, and compliant mortgage advice, explaining the features, benefits, and risks of different options.

Application Process: Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact between clients, lenders, estate agents, and solicitors, ensuring smooth communication and progress.

Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal company policies, including data protection and anti-money laundering procedures.

Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets for mortgage and protection products.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, generating repeat business and referrals.

Professional Development: Continuously update your knowledge of the mortgage market, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and development.

The ideal candidate for the Mortgage Advisor will have the following:

CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.

Proven track record of success as a Mortgage Advisor, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

Excellent knowledge of the UK mortgage market and regulatory landscape.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Exceptional customer service skills with a client-centric approach.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

This role is working Monday to Friday with an expectation to work 2 evenings in the week to meet business needs.
