This is a wonderful opportunity for a skilled teacher looking to take the next step in their leadership journey, with a focus on supporting the English Department to deliver exceptional outcomes for students.

As a Second in Department - English Teacher, you should:

Be an outstanding teacher with a passion for English and literature
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent teaching experience
Have the ability to inspire students across all key stages
Be able to support the Head of Department in the development of the department
Possess leadership skills with the ability to manage staff
Be committed to high standards of teaching, assessment, and student achievement
Contribute to the extracurricular activities and initiatives of the English Department
Have a collaborative, flexible, and positive approach
