Our international client requires an experienced Warehouse/Logistics Operative/Workshop Repair Technician to join their team on a temp to permanent basis

Fluent or native written and spoken English - essential

Experience in an engineering, workshop, or technical repair environment - desirable

Basic MS Office skills - desirable

GCSE (or equivalent) in Math, English - desirable

Experience in a high-pressure, fluid environment - desirable

Person / Team Fit

Team player with excellent verbal skills and a keen eye for detail

Able to cope under the pressure of a service recovery situation, dealing with the public when in a stressed frame of mind

Adaptable and resilient

Warehouse / Logistics Operative Duties:

Picking orders based on picking lists provided

Creating consignments for shipment via couriers or by Company personnel

Performing stock counts

Keeping the warehouse clean and maintaining good order

Receiving goods and checking products against delivery notes to ensure complete orders are received

Delivery of replacement luggage to airport locations using Company vehicles

After appropriate training, forklift operation

After appropriate training, assessment of received luggage for repair/replacement (aviation claims)

Ensuring that the Company remains compliant with all data protection legislation through appropriate action and decision-making

Ad hoc, but reasonable, requests from supervisors or management, or clients

Key Accountabilities

Picking of orders by picking lists

Ensuring the correct product is assigned to the consignment

Ensuring the correct delivery address is used

Ensuring that the consignment is ready for the allotted collection/delivery time

Measurement Indicators (success criteria)

Zero errors reported by the wider business

Customers reporting:

Incorrect item delivered, or item delivered to the wrong place, or item not received on expected date/time

Reception of goods in

Checking of delivered/received products against packing/delivery notes to ensure complete consignments are received

Refusal of incomplete or damaged consignments

Pass on the checked and verified packing/delivery notes to the appropriate person/department for reconciliation

Orders made match stock received, or consignments are refused

No damaged items (new) received

Internal party communicated with (who & how - convey, adapt, influence, negotiate)

Identification of and reporting of low-stock items, conveying the information to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Management

Adapting to the peaks and troughs of the airline-influenced operation to take advantage of natural 'lulls’ to perform housekeeping duties

Reporting of Service Failures

To provide an accurate report on any service failure by a supplier to the line manager

External party communicated with (who & how - convey, adapt, influence, negotiate)

Discussing replacement luggage requirements with airline / handling agent Baggage Services teams at the airport during delivery, influencing requirements by current stock holding

Supervision of onsite behaviour of the supplier

Maintaining the security of the warehouse by challenging non-employees

Skills/experience

Fluent or native written and spoken English - essential

Basic MS Office skills - desirable

Full, clean driving licence

Must qualify for an Airport Airside ID (complete 5-year referencing, including criminal record check)

Physically fit and able to perform manual lifting

Workshop Repair Technician Duties:

Assessment of luggage to ascertain:

Whether the item is genuine

Whether the item can be repaired in line with manufacturer standards

The level of repair needed to satisfy the customer/client's request

Act as repair SME (Subject Matter Expert) to assist the Call Centre operation, customers, clients, and Management team as needed

Inform Workshop Supervisors when parts orders are required or when the stock of parts falls below the minimum reorder level

Ensure that only genuine parts and repair methods are used to ensure client/customer satisfaction

Follow up on and complete repairs of luggage that is awaiting parts

Assessment of collected luggage to determine whether repair or replacement is the appropriate course of action

Ensuring that the Company remains compliant with all data protection legislation through appropriate action and decision-making

Ad hoc, but reasonable, requests from supervisors or management or client
