About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is available due to the retirement of the current teacher, and we are looking for someone to bring fresh energy and innovative teaching practices to the class. The class size is 30 students, with a supportive Teaching Assistant to help with differentiation and ensuring all students can engage with the curriculum.
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across all subjects, with particular emphasis on literacy and numeracy. You will work closely with the leadership team to track students’ progress, implement interventions where needed, and create a positive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience teaching within KS1 is essential.
• A passion for early years education and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all students.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across all KS1 subjects.
• Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
• Creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to provide tailored learning for all students.
• Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress.
• Contributing to the school’s ethos of respect, kindness, and academic excellence.
