The Company:

My client have been manufacturing for over 150 years and have a strong reputation in the area, they have recently had £12 million investment and supply metal to various industries including the mobile phone industry through to the cymbals on drum kits. They have a healthy order book and during a time of uncertainty this is great company to join as a mechanically biased maintenance engineer. This isn’t firefighting role – far from it. This will be a mix of PPM’s, reactive breakdowns as well of lots of project work. There us so much overtime available at x1.5 and double time you can easily earn up to £60,000+

Duties of a mechanically biased maintenance engineer

Day to day you will be expected to be working with a variety of plant machinery which includes melting furnaces, strip casters, rolling mills, pickling lines, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors and water pumps. 

Experience required for the mechanically biased maintenance engineer

Qualified to level 3 or apprenticeship served in an a mechanical discipline

Experience within heavy industry is advantageous

Must be mechanically biased 

Any mechanically biased maintenance engineer from manufacturing environment to be considered
