PSM Recruitment is looking for an experienced Chef/ Sous Chef, supporting the Head Chef to prepare and cook food , to ensure the delivery of an excellent customer service. This position is for our client based in Canterbury and they are offering part time hours, on a contract basis until end of August.
Key Responsibilities:
* As directed by the Head Chef, to cook and prepare all menu items to ensure a high standard of food offer.
* To work with other departments in providing effective service delivery in order to deliver an excellent standard of customer service
* To control wastage of stock to ensure maximum efficiency at all times and to support the delivery of agreed margins
* To respond to standard enquiries in a timely manner, escalating non standard queries and complaints, to ensure high levels of customer service for both internal and external customers.

* To work in a safe and legal way to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Good knowledge of cooking techniques and style.
* Good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in particular food hygiene and food allergies.
* NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent
* Level 2 in Food Safety.
* GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualification.
Hours: Up to 30 per week, between the hours of 9.00am and 8.00pm
