The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Logistics Planner to join our growing Transport team in our Regional Contact centre in Brentford.
With the support of experienced Planners and senior team members you’ll become an essential member of the team where you train to plan our road based logistics fleet across the M25 area, Mendips & south coast region.
As part of a close knit team you'll work Monday-Friday days. Where you'll play a crucial role in organising the delivery of Aggregates & Asphalt.
You'll plan a variety of same day and future deliveries and call clients to confirm their anticipated delivery date.
You'll liaise with various internal teams to anticipate any potential issues and keep the clients informed of anything which may affect their delivery date/time.
You'll help to negotiate haulage rates.
You will ensure you are maximising haulage by deploying resource to ensure all Customer orders both internal and external with optimum benefit to both the Customer and the Business
Who you are
You'll be an organised person able to adapt to new information and feel confident to change plans accordingly.
You'll feel confident speaking on the phone and have an aptitude towards customer service.
You'll be computer literate
Ideally have good geographical knowledge of the London area
Able to work on call for weekends which you are on the rota for.
