Avocet are excited to be working with one of the region’s leading and award-winning multidisciplinary consultancies who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to their Plymouth office Building Services Engineering team.

The team are currently very busy working across various sectors, namely defence and healthcare developments.

We are looking for someone who can work closely with the partners and directors, as well as help mentor the more junior candidates.

This opportunity presents a very good opportunity to progress to a Director level within the first couple of years.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and spec of all Building Services Mechanical systems

* Produce detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools such as IES and Cymap

* Specification and report writing

* Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD

* Liaise with other industry professionals inc Civil & Structural Engineers, Builders, Architects, Surveyors and in house teams

* Site surveys and inspections

Who You’ll Be

* Chartered, or near Chartered engineer with CIBSE or IMechE

* 7+ years of Building Services experience

* Full UK driving licence

* Confident working in a team and leading projects
