YourTeaching Ltd are looking for a passionate, caring, and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our dynamic team at a well-established nursery in Maidstone, Kent. About the Role:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years. You will work as part of a close-knit team, supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities, fostering creativity, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting children to thrive in their early years.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.

* Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).

* Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and sharing updates with parents/carers.

* Build positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills.

* Support children with their personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and dressing where necessary.

* Ensure children’s safety and well-being by following all safeguarding procedures and nursery policies.

* Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to create a nurturing and positive environment.

* Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on their child’s development.

* Take part in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

About You:

* A Level 3 Early Years Education and Care qualification (or equivalent) is essential.

* Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting is desirable.

* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

* Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and an understanding of child development.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

* A positive, patient, and caring nature, with a commitment to providing the best possible care and education.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

* First Aid qualification (or willingness to undergo training).

* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and practices.

* Experience supporting children with additional needs is a plus.
