Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Our client, a well-established company in Bromsgrove, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements and other key control accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within an accounts or finance department.
• AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
• Experience using accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
