Learning Support Assistant - Deal

Academics in Canterbury are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Learning Support Assistant with a specialisation in autism to join a lovely SEN school in Deal, Kent. This school is committed to providing inclusive education and fostering an environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with autism in their learning and social development.
Work closely with teachers to implement individualised education plans.
Provide one-on-one and group support during lessons and activities.
Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
Assist with the development of communication and social skills.
Collaborate with parents, teachers and external professionals to ensure optimal support for students.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.Essential Qualifications and Skills:

A relevant qualification in education or special needs (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
Demonstrated experience working with children with autism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity.
