Director of Cost Management | Toronto, Canada

Vickerstock are delighted to be supporting an international construction consultancy as they look to hire a Director of Cost Management to be based in their Toronto office. This business are seeking to recruit someone, ideally from the UK or Ireland, for this strategically important role and can offer full relocation support.

Your new role as Director of Cost Management
In this role you will be responsible for providing full leadership to an already established team across a wide range of projects and industries. The majority of the work within this team is at pre-construction stage and with a particular emphasis on estimating, as such you should have a strong background in estimating although won’t be heavily involved in the preparing cost estimates. Alongside the commercial outputs, you will be responsible for managing team resources, recruitment, training and, in time, networking and business development.

What you will need to succeed as Director of Cost Management

* A minimum of 12-years relevant experience, with at least 5-years in a management or leadership role.

* Chartered with a relevant professional body

* Varied project experience across the built environment, experience on hospital projects will be an advantage.

* Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Cost X, Planswift or relevant estimating software.
