Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm

About the Role

Engineering @ 365 is working with a leading manufacturing company seeking a Production Engineer to drive process improvements, equipment optimisation, and manufacturing efficiency at their site north of Leicester City Centre . This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, quality control, and lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

* Process Optimisation – Develop and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

* Technical Leadership – Lead root cause analysis activities to address technical, quality, and safety concerns.

* Equipment & Systems Improvement – Identify and implement equipment upgrades and new processes to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.

* Standardisation & Training – Develop operator training programmes, process flow charts, and standard work procedures.

* Collaboration – Work closely with Shift Leaders, Technicians, and Operators to improve knowledge and performance.

* Cost & Capacity Enhancement – Drive initiatives to increase manufacturing capacity and reduce costs through strategic process improvements.

Requirements

* Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field) with 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Strong engineering background with expertise in process control and optimisation.

* Lean Manufacturing experience, including 5 WHY, Root Cause Analysis, and TPM.

* Desirable: Six Sigma knowledge and experience implementing process improvement methodologies.

* Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills.
