Job Title: Band 7 Occupational Therapist
Location: West Middlesex Hospital, TW7 6AF
Contract Type: Locum
Salary: £25 - £30 per hour
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the medical rehabilitation team based at West Middlesex Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will require strong rehabilitation skills, discharge planning skills, the ability to work autonomously under pressure, and a sound clinical understanding of falls, cognitive impairment and common pathology in acute medicine and frailty. This would also suit an Occupational Therapist with neuro skills as you may need to support with rehabilitation of complex trauma and neuro complications from spinal and brain injuries. The role would suit an Occupational Therapist with interest and experience within these areas.
The role will be supporting with leadership of the occupational therapy services, including supervision of junior staff, coordination or the OT service across multiple medical wards and development of staff training.
Essential Criteria:
We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist with:
HCPC registration.
UK-recognised occupational therapy diploma/degree.
Neuro-rehab skills
Discharge planning skills
the ability to work autonomously under pressure
a sound clinical understanding of medical and frailty conditions, cognitive impairment and common pathology's related to frailty syndrome. Desirable Skills:
Experience working with oncology patients and their families.
Experience in clinical supervision and appraisal.
Experience in audit, outcomes measurement, and clinical governance.Benefits:

Full-time hours (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday).
