The Opportunity

Independent Family owned company seeking a broadly skilled Management Accountant with specific expertise in operational accounting ie. Labour, variance, costing.

The opportunity here is the scope to progress (in time) you’ll be primed to eventually step into the FD’s shoes.

The Role

Reporting to long standing FD, working with the wider business and especially the MD, you be undertaking the following responsibilities

* Prepare and manage monthly Management Accounts

* Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes

* Oversee and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency

* Maintain and improve the costing system to support accurate financial planning

* Supervise payroll processes within the finance team

* Ensure financial policies and procedures are current and effective

* Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial plans

* Assist the Group Financial Director with budget management and forecasting

* Oversee treasury functions, including loan administration

* Provide accurate financial reports to the Board and Executive team

* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

* Inspire and motivate teams to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business goals

About You:

We're looking for a dynamic and driven individual with the ability to be commercially aware and challenge the status quo. Management accounts expertise including costing goes without saying, however a broader skill set into financial accounting is also required.

You’ll be well adept with ERP systems, excel proficient and technically gifted in accounting principals.

Qualified would be preferred however part qualified working towards (study support considered) or qualified by experience is of interest. Experience and the value you bring is key.
