We are currently working on behalf of one of the premier global businesses within the engineering and manufacturing sectors who pride themselves on their culture and engagement with employees. They have facilities across the UK and have one of the most recognisable brands in the industry they operate in.

They are now currently looking for an industry leader to join the business and take on their Head of Production position and oversee their operational and engineering activities. The role will involve planning the operational delivery of the business in line with contractual obligations. The role will suit a highly ambitious operations leader who has a passion for people / efficiency and delivery.

The key responsibilities for this Head of Production role include:

Ensure Day to day workloads for teams are managed through line reports, ensuring that all tasks are completed in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
Ensure Health, Safety and all related quality and environmental strategic factors are embedded into daily operations.
Setting standards for Safety / Quality / Cost and delivery and ensuring targets within these areas are achieved.
Coordinating the strategic delivery of maintenance contracts for services.
Identify and implement additional works and procedures that will enhance the work delivery.
Continuous improvement activities to improve tools / processes and people on site.
Ensures operational outputs and costs are linked to optimise overall business performance.
Provide technical expertise to clients and customers, undertaking client visits and external events when appropriate.  
Qualifications & experience required to be successful in Head of Production role:

Extensive senior operations management experience within the manufacturing and engineering sector.
Heavy engineering industry knowledge and experience is essential.
Have a background in engineering and hold a HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Good knowledge of mechanical / electrical plant and control equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A basic salary starting at £100,000 - £110,000.
Company bonus incentive up to 20%.
