Job Title: Design Manager

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their London office. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will oversee the design phases of a portfolio of projects in the UK and Bahrain. Your role will involve ensuring cost-effective, technically compliant, and buildable solutions while managing stakeholder requirements, driving efficiency, and delivering designs that meet project timelines, quality standards, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead multi-disciplinary design management.
Ensure designs align with project scope, budget, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the coordination of engineering disciplines.
Implement and manage CDM regulations and Health & Safety protocols.
Collaborate with dispersed teams and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide technical leadership and strategic direction throughout the project lifecycle.

What Our Client is Looking For:

Essential:

Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary design management.
Degree in an engineering-related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status in a relevant field.
APM Project Fundamentals Qualification.
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety.
Proven experience managing large-scale projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
Strategic, operational, and technical management expertise.
Knowledge of water treatment processes, including civil and MEICA engineering aspects.

Desirable:

Working towards or holding an APM Project Management Qualification.
Experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
Familiarity with BIM procedures and techniques.
Collaborative and innovative working mindset.
