Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role

Long Term Futures are working with a specialist education setting, located in central Nottingham (NG1) to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The role involves assisting with class activities, supporting individual students and contributing to a tailored learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Provide 1-1 and small group support for students.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering education programmes.
Contribute to creating a caring, secure environment for students.
Assist in managing pupil behaviour and supporting social interaction.Requirements:

A Teaching Assistant qualification or an education related qualification is desirable.
Experience working with children/young people with special educational needs is essential.
Understanding of autism and special educational needs.
