Control Systems Engineer – Power & Renewable Energy
Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking to work on diverse and challenging projects in power, renewables, and utilities? We are working with a leading provider of industrial automation and control systems, seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Stockton-on-Tees. This role will involve working with key clients across various sectors, including utilities.
About the Role:
As a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities, focusing on PLC programming (65%), documentation and specifications (25%), and site support (10%). Projects will involve designing and developing automation solutions for power, renewable energy, utilities, and other industries, offering a mix of hands-on technical work and collaborative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Program PLCs and develop HMI/SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
Create system designs and write detailed documentation and specifications.
Provide site support for system commissioning and troubleshooting.
Work with industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in control systems engineering.
Familiarity with PLC programming on platforms like Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and system design.
What's On Offer:
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
