Salary: £70,000 per annum + 10% Bonus Potential

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and driven Registered Manager to lead a large, state-of-the-art residential home in Dorchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment and has the skills and experience to manage a high-quality service for our residents.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home’s operations, ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered while maintaining a supportive and engaging atmosphere for both staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of care professionals, ensuring a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Provide strategic direction for the home, driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellence in the quality of care provided.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure the team remains skilled and compliant with industry standards.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that adhere to current legislation and best practices.
Ensure resident care plans are individual, up-to-date, and executed effectively.
Manage the home’s financial performance, including budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Handle any safeguarding or concerns raised by residents, families, or staff in a prompt and professional manner.
Lead on inspections and audits, responding effectively to feedback and ensuring continuous improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a similar setting (residential or elderly care).
Strong understanding of CQC regulations and experience achieving and maintaining high CQC ratings.
Leadership and management experience, with a focus on motivating and developing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
Financial management experience, including budgeting and cost control.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
