Job Title: Maintenance Carpenter

Salary: £23.00 per hour (CIS)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 20:00 until 04:00
About the Role:
Are you a skilled carpenter looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment? We are hiring a Maintenance Carpenter to join our client’s dedicated team at Heathrow Airport. This role is crucial to maintaining the operational excellence and safety standards of one of the world’s busiest airports.
As a Maintenance Carpenter, you will handle a variety of tasks, from repairing structural elements to ensuring the aesthetic quality of airport facilities. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment for passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations of woodwork, doors, flooring, partitions, and other structural elements.
* Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve carpentry-related maintenance issues promptly.
* Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Work from technical drawings and specifications to complete tasks with precision.
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a carpenter in a maintenance or construction setting.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification.
* Strong understanding of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in a high-traffic environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
