Job Description
Provide assistance for delivery of all cost, commercial and quantity surveying matters on designated projects from inception to completion.
To assist in the delivery of projects on budget in full accordance with Council and Service procedures.
Provide cost, feasibility and quantity surveying advice to Project Managers
All other duties commensurate with the grade.Responsibilities
Ensuring that plans are in place and continually up dated to achieve Service objectives and priorities..
Actively assist and take ownership for designated detailed project commercial reports and maintain up to date at all times.
Ensure that all project related risks and issues are identified to the Council.
To carry out the necessary professional duties to effectively manage and coordinate commercial and cost matters on projects designated as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
To contribute and implement professional quantity surveying practice and procedures within Capital Programme Works Service.
Assisting the Principal Quantity Surveyor on the relationship management of key partners, suppliers and other core third parties, as applicable
Be active and responsible in compliance with Service procedures and professional practice development in Capital Programmes Projects to ensure the maintenance and improvement of knowledge and capabilitiesRequirements
Working towards MRICS or MCIOB or equivalent
Evidence of continued professional development Construction/Property related degree or extensive experience Contract
Initial 3-to-6-month ongoing contract
PAYE via Umbrella
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Hybrid position)
