I am delighted to be recruiting an Engineering & Technical Manager to join our client in driving engineering excellence and innovation in the Offshore Wind sector.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish, control, and maintain production standards for welding technology, process reliability and equipment performance

* Lead process innovation and development initiatives

* Reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through continuous improvement principles

* Drive research, development, and innovation to enhance operational efficiency

* Ensure all processes and product handling meet safety standards

* Collaborate with the production team to maintain operational controls

* Lead and develop a team of production and welding engineers

* Manage change programs, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement

* Identify opportunities for improvement in engineering tools and methodologies

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline

* Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools, including: PDCA, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, 5 Whys, APQP4Wind

* Leadership experience in production engineering

* Background in welding, fabrication, and machining environments

* Passion for developing engineering talent and driving innovation

* Membership (or Fellowship) in a recognised professional institution (preferred)

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
