Our client is a leading business offering Automation/ Integration support to a number of industries across the UK- including some blue-chip names in British Manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring in an Electrical Design Engineer who will primarily be based on-site, but will occasionally be expected to conduct site visits to assist with Controls and Automation support.
Role & Responsibilities:
Using CAD to create Electrical schematics such as loop diagrams, drawing PLC wiring diagrams and panel layouts
Upgrading existing controls schemes
Parts lists and BOMs based on the schematics
Creating LV Distribution and cable calculations
Machine safety circuit design to ISO 13849/60261 (manufacturing and machinery standards)
Creating Technical documentation
Assisting the on-site Electrical/ Controls Engineers with any issues
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
Electrical Engineering Qualification
Knowledge of HMI/PLC Systems
Willingness to travel across UK on occasion
