Contract & Account Manager, Grounds Maintenance

The Company:

You will be a pivotal part of the successful Grounds Maintenance Team in this industry leading facilities management contractor. They are renowned for the quality of their site maintenance and delivering exceptional client service.

The Job:

This is a composite role that encompasses both contracts management, with responsibility for the ground’s maintenance of over 2,000 sites, together with account management and being the main contact for one of the country’s largest utility companies. You will have 6 Contracts Managers reporting to you, each looking after the ground’s maintenance of a geographical area, together with a Specialist Manager responsible for sites with enhanced H&S risks. You will have full financial and operational responsibility for this, important utility client and will manage all aspects of the client journey ensuring that the service delivery is at the highest standard. You will work in partnership with your client, understanding their ongoing needs and developing new and additional business. You will lead, manage and motivate both your immediate reports together with a staff of experienced maintenance specialists that includes both static site and mobile teams.

The Person:

You will currently be working as a Contracts Manager and have at least 3 years’ multi-site grounds maintenance experience. You will have a good knowledge of the utility sector and an understanding if its challenges.

* An effective Leader with demonstrable operations management experience

* Professional, proactive and assertive in your approach, with excellent Influencing and Communication skills

* Commercial acumen including accurate cost control, efficient procurement, production of timely valuations, pricing of extra works, variations and compensation events.

* Understand Health and Safety / ISOH compliance

* Full UK driving licence

Package:

£45,000 to £50,000 basic salary PLUS

* Winter Gritting Bonus to £660 per month for 6 months (£3,960)

* Performance Bonus up to 12% on basic salary
