About the Role
They are looking for a dedicated professional to oversee and manage construction sites across the Midlands region. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of bulk earthworks and groundworks civils projects, managing teams ranging from 8 to 30 personnel depending on the size and scope of each project.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering career progression within a company known for its expertise in delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and motivate site teams on bulk earthworks and groundwork civils projects.
* Oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
* Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular progress meetings.
* Monitor work progress and resolve any issues or challenges promptly.
* Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to senior management.
Skills and Experience Required
* Essential: Previous experience in bulk earthworks and groundworks civils.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage crews of 8 to 30 individuals.
* A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring best practices are implemented across all site activities.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Flexibility to travel across the Midlands as required.
* Proficiency in reading site drawings and managing resources effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
Certifications:
* Valid CSCS card.
* SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (or equivalent).
