Site Manager to oversee our Sales, yard and warehouse operations within the concrete reinforcement industry. The successful candidate will collaborate with national transport managers, manage key accounts, and contribute to sales and business development efforts. This role demands strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of logistics and warehouse management, and the ability to drive growth in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily yard and warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with national transport managers to optimize delivery schedules and logistics.
- Manage key accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with construction clients.
- Drive sales and business development initiatives to expand market presence and grow the client base.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and oversee stock control processes.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of yard and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, preferably within the concrete reinforcement or construction materials industry.
- Strong understanding of yard and warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in sales and business development, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Working Hours: 8:30-5:30pm
The site is open 6am -6pm and staff often work either 6-3/ 7-4 /8-5 or 9-6pm
Salary: 40-45k + annual bonus of 8-10k pa which is paid at Christmas, + increases based on branch sales growth
