About the role: Are you an experienced and passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? We’re seeking a dynamic Year 5 Class Teacher to join a warm, friendly, one-form-entry primary school in Brent, London. This maternity cover role starts in January 2025 and runs until July 2025. As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you’ll lead a mixed-ability class, supported by a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant who provides 1:1 and whole-class support. The school is seeking someone who can hit the ground running, plan and deliver engaging lessons, and inspire a love of learning in every child.

Application Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Key Stage 2 in UK schools.
• A proven track record of delivering engaging lessons and achieving strong academic results.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the UK Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help every child succeed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
• Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to promote student progress and wellbeing.
