Position Title: Technical Internal Sales Specialist
Department: Process Automation
Location: Coventry, UK (Hybrid)
Reporting To: Head of Process Automation
Objective:
The Technical Internal Sales Specialist will support the growth of the Process Automation department by providing technical and sales support, with a focus on instrumentation and valve actuation. This role involves close collaboration across departments to ensure smooth product delivery and profitable sales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enhance Performance:
* Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth product and service delivery.
* Improve technical knowledge within both internal and external teams.
* Prepare Valve Schedules and Quotes:
* Generate accurate schedules and quotes for process automation and manual valves.
* Reporting and Team Support:
* Assist in compiling monthly reports for the Head of Process Automation.
* Contribute to team activities, working towards targets, ensuring clear communication, and providing technical training and advice.
* Product Development and Market Awareness:
* Support the development of the product portfolio with factory Product Management teams.
* Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities to identify new markets and opportunities.
* Pricing and Inventory Management:
* Recommend pricing, discounts, and terms for products.
* Work with Stock Control to maintain adequate inventory levels within budget constraints.
* Product Launches and Sales Support:
* Assist in launching new process automation products and delivering training.
* Collaborate with sales managers to achieve sales strategy goals and present technical solutions to customers.
* Communication and Collaboration:
* Liaise with Product Management, Projects, Sales, Accounts, and Logistics teams to support short-, mid-, and long-term planning.
* Build strong working relationships with relevant personnel.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Engineering Degree, minimum HNC, or equivalent (Preferred)
Technical Product Knowledge - Strong expertise in instrumentation and valve actuation is essential.
Have a natural ability to grasp technical concepts and be able to advise customers on technical solutions with confidence.
Able to thrive in a busy sales department and be able to handle a wide variety of tasks within a small team.
