Assembly Operative

Maidstone

c.£27k + OT + 25 days annual leave + BH

44 hours per week, Monday to Friday – DAYS only!

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing company based in the Maidstone area who are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assembly Operative to join their fast-paced factory on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties for this role include:

Working as part of a small team supporting the production of metal-based product line

Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings, assembling products to meet specifications

Working in a targeted factory environment

Using a range of tools and machinery to include bandsaws, chop saws and other hand tools

Supporting health and safety processes through correct maintenance of equipment as well as regular cleaning and housekeeping

Supporting continuous improvement by working with the Production Manager to spot and eliminate any issues

Working to the production schedule

Working in a busy metal fabrication environment, the successful candidate must have:

Some solid, relevant experience in a practical ‘hands on’ role

The ability to use hand tools safely

A proven track record in maintaining a role on a permanent basis demonstrating reliability and work ethic

A good level of physical fitness, able to carry out heavy lifting on a daily basis – this is essential due to the nature of the role

A desire to develop a career within manufacturing

Good communication skills with an understanding of how to present yourself within a workplace environment

Excellent timekeeping skills
