Finance Manager

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5pm & Friday 8:30am – 4pm

Salary: up to £55,000 per annum

Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (increase in holiday entitlement for long period of service), private medical insurance, employee discount platform and annual team building events.

Experienced Finance Manager wanted!

Your role will be to lead and inspire the Finance team as well as oversee Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow, and ensure top-notch financial control. You'll manage audits, budgets, forecasts, and inspire a positive team culture. Dive into monthly financial closes, gross profit analysis, and drive process improvements.

Duties will include:

* Lead and mentor the finance team with clear communication and task management

* Ensure timely preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements

* Oversee monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and control accounts

* Coordinate year-end audits, ensuring regulatory compliance

* Implement financial controls to meet internal policies and standards

* Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes

* Analyse gross profit for performance tracking and improvement

* Prepare and deliver management reports with actionable insights

* Lead budgeting and forecasting with Senior Management Accountant

* Manage weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts

* Oversee ad-hoc financial projects as required

* Drive process improvements to streamline and automate accounting

What we are looking for:

* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification

* Expertise in financial reporting, team leadership, and audits

* Experience in a distribution or stock-holding environment would be beneficial
