Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior/Principle Recruitment Consultant to join our team, specializing in the blue-collar construction sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in recruitment, with a deep understanding of the construction industry and a passion for placing high-quality candidates in roles that match their skills and experience. This role offers the opportunity to lead client relationships, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to the growth and success of your team and the wider business.

You will be committed to connecting skilled tradespeople with top-tier construction firms from within your own network as well as developing our inhouse accounts to their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their recruitment needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements. There are over 80 live sites that we can immediately introduce you to.

* Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the blue-collar construction market, expanding our client base and driving revenue growth.

* Candidate Sourcing: Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract and engage skilled blue-collar candidates, including job boards, social media, industry events, referrals, and our internal database.

* Candidate Placement: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial candidate contact through to placement, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for both clients and candidates.

* Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior recruitment consultants, sharing industry knowledge, best practices, and helping to develop their skills. The opportunity to grow and lead this division will be available for the right individual.

* Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, labour market conditions, and competitor activities, using this knowledge to inform recruitment strategies and client consultations.

* Negotiation: Handle all aspects of the negotiation process, including salary and rate discussions, contract terms, and counteroffers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both clients and candidates.

* Compliance: Ensure all placements comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards, right-to-work checks, and other statutory obligations.

* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activity, financial performance, and other key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Experience: Extensive experience in recruitment, with a strong focus on the blue-collar construction sector. Proven track record of successful placements and client management.

* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the construction industry, including key roles, required qualifications, and market dynamics.

* Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, candidates, and colleagues.

* Sales Ability: Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets.

* Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients, candidates, and tasks simultaneously.

* Leadership: Ability to mentor and lead junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using recruitment software, CRM systems, and online sourcing tools.

* Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
