Health and Safety Manager – Mechanically-Focused Projects in East London

Location: Office-based in East London with travel to multiple sites across London
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience - Perm or Contract
Project Type: Small Refurbishment Projects (up to £5m in value)

HDS Consultancy is thrilled to partner with a leading mechanical-focused construction company to find a skilled Health and Safety Manager for their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to oversee health and safety operations on small-scale mechanical refurbishment projects across London.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the health and safety management on mechanical-focused small refurbishment sites (up to £5m in value).

*

Provide proactive health and safety guidance to the project teams and subcontractors.

*

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly within the mechanical sector.

*

Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

*

Maintain up-to-date health and safety records and documentation.

*

Ensure all workers and contractors are properly inducted and trained on site safety protocols.

*

Liaise with key stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and engineers, to ensure safe working environments on all projects.

Requirements:

*

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).

*

Proven experience in managing health and safety on construction sites, preferably with mechanical or M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) projects.

*

Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices, particularly in the mechanical sector.

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams.

*

Ability to manage multiple sites across London.

*

A proactive, hands-on approach to health and safety management.
