Yard Person with forklift license BUSY Builders Merchant
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard person ***with a Forklift License*** to join our team in managing the yard operations efficiently. The role involves overseeing the movement of materials and goods within the yard, ensuring smooth operations and timely handling of shipments. Builders Merchant knowledge and/or experience within the construction industry is a must.
Yard Person Duties:
* Utilise forklifts and other equipment for materials handling (Forklift License required)
* Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (training will be provided)
* Build and organize materials for efficient storage and retrieval
* Load and unload goods from vehicles, and lorries as well as customers and deliveries in/out of the yard
* Heavy lifting and lifting of materials tasks as required
* Loading and offloading of shipping materials and receiving materials/deliveries
Yard Person Requirements:
* Experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling with license - must be current
* Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely
* Take full charge of incoming shipping and receiving procedures
* Builders Merchant knowledge and/or experience within the construction industry desirable.
