Associate Director Sustainability
Location: Birmingham, UK
A leading, multidisciplinary consultancy are currently on the lookout for an Associate Director Sustainability to join their team and be based in Birmingham. The Associate Director Sustainability will be responsible for the delivery of sustainable building solutions on high profile, complex projects and major frameworks across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sustainability consultants providing sustainability and energy related advice and delivering projects across BREEAM, LEED, WELL, NABERS and embodied carbon. This is a client facing role where the candidate will have to understand clients key sustainability objectives and help fulfil their strategic goals towards net zero operational energy, embodied carbon and wider sustainability targets.
As Associate Director Sustainability, your main responsibilities will include:
-Providing expert advice to clients across all sectors on sustainability policies, regulations, and best practices
-Developing and implementing sustainability strategies, management plans and action plans for clients
-Supporting the delivery of sustainability certifications such as BREEAM/LEED/WELL
-Conducting life cycle analysis of buildings using One-Click LCA and carbon reports
-Developing sustainability-related reports, presentations and technical documentation
-Manage/support a team of sustainability and energy consultants
-Increase the companies profile within the sustainability consulting sector, contribute to winning new work and business development
Requirements / Qualifications:
-Experience in an Associate Consultant / Associate Director Sustainability position
-Relevant degree qualification in sustainability, environmental studies, building services or a related field
-Qualifications in BREEAM, LEED, One-Click LCA, NABERS
-Strong project management skills and ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
-Experience managing and leading a team of sustainability and building physics consultants
-Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
