About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager to lead and manage our supported living services. This role requires a compassionate, skilled leader who can oversee the delivery of high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, ensuring they can live as independently as possible within their own homes and community.
As the Service Manager, you will take responsibility for the operational management of the service, working closely with our team to ensure compliance, excellent care standards, and person-centred support. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference while contributing to the growth and development of the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Staff Management: Lead, support, and motivate a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care and maintain high levels of morale and engagement.
* Service Delivery: Ensure the service operates efficiently, meeting or exceeding regulatory and quality standards. Maintain a person-centred approach to enable individuals to achieve their personal goals.
* Compliance and Quality Assurance: Oversee compliance with all relevant regulations, including CQC standards. Conduct regular quality checks and implement improvements as necessary.
* Budget Management: Manage the service budget responsibly, balancing costs while maintaining quality care.
* Care Planning: Oversee the creation and monitoring of individual care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs, preferences, and goals.
* Safeguarding: Maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring safeguarding protocols are strictly followed.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for families, external agencies, and other stakeholders, ensuring positive communication and partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar managerial role within supported living or social care settings.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC requirements, supported living frameworks, and person-centred care practices.
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on maintaining high standards and delivering results.
* Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the service and individuals supported.
Qualifications
* Essential: Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 5 Diploma or equivalent).
* Desirable: Management qualifications and experience in supported living or related sectors.
